We strongly advise visitors to take out full holiday insurance to cover cancellations, public liability, personal belongings, loss etc.
We are a remote quite site, please note there is a noise curfew of 10pm. This to respect other guests and for our neighbours.
I contact all guests a week before arrival with a check in email so all instructions for check in can be found there.
The check out time is 11am we ask you to adhere to that so the pod can be ready for the next guests to check in.
Dogs are welcomed in the glamping pods but there is a £10 surcharge.
They should not be left out and alone.
You must clear up after your dog.
Dogs must be under control so please make sure there is no excessive barking. If a dog is causing problems we can kindly ask you to leave, as we cannot risk such behavior with other dogs and children on site.
We do not allow campfires unless you are using a fire pit. Fire Pits and BBQs must not be placed on the grass as it burns. There are specified places to use them outside the pods. All ash must be placed in the ash bin provided within the recycling area NOT in the normal bins. We ask for them to be emptied before you leave.
Every pod and the campsite are provided with an information pack not only with information on the local area but also with health and safety advice and we ask that this be read thoroughly by every guest.
Big Bear Lodge accepts no liability for:
Theft, loss, or damage of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay at our venue.
If you leave your pod or pitch in an improper condition additional cleaning costs
can be charged.
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability
For any matter which it would be illegal for us to exclude/limit or attempt to exclude/limit our liability

No refund will be given in this instance.
EXPECTATIONS FROM YOUR STAY:
This bit is REALLY important. We want you to have a good time however we want to ensure when you come it is with realistic expectations and you are prepared.
Please be aware that whilst “glamping” is posh camping, it is still camping, which means it is not a hotel, you do not have an ensuite you are outside, close to nature. You will hear wildlife and local farm animals during your stay. You are unlikely to see any bears!!!
By it's very nature Big Bear Lodge is a campsite in a natural environment. In working to preserve and enhance the area and it’s bio diversity and create a sense of freedom which is part of the charm and why many people come, there are natural hazards, such as ponds, tree roots, and extremely limited lighting after dark and depending upon weather conditions, cold, wet and slippery surfaces.
Glamping in Britain can mean dramatic variance in weather in a short period of time whilst we supply certain facilities and equipment, it is still camping and you are responsible for your own well being and comfort regarding appropriate clothing and footwear etc In extreme weather conditions at the camp, such as exceptional cold and snow.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE:
We kindly ask for you to:
* Remove all rubbish to the appropriate bins/recycling,
* Ensure no litter outside or around the tents, pitch or pod.
* Wash up any items that belong to pod that you have used.
* Empty all fire pits and BBQs into the ash bin and leave them as you found them (CLEAN!).
